Red Carpet at the Alamo Drafthouse DFW –  the new Dallas location at 1005 S. Lamar St. Starting today, we’ll be splitting our screenings between the Angelika Film Center & Alamo Drafthouse, so be sure to double check those tickets for the theater destination, and we’ll see you all this afternoon!

We all have at least a bit of a voyeuristic side, especially when it comes to the lives of celebrities and public figures. This year at DIFF, three documentaries afford audiences intimate peeks at the behind-the-scenes reality of famous – and sometimes controversial – individuals.

The best science fiction works have one characteristic in common, far beyond imaginative science and technology: they all stand out as reflections and critiques about the present and the past as much as they depict the future. And in such sci-fi tradition, DIFF 2016 has a handful of movies with their lenses set into a tomorrow that may not be as bright and hopeful as we would like-but still as entertaining as possible.

THE 24-HOUR VIDEO RACE SHOWCASE
On April 2nd, teams of all ages from across North Texas participated in the 15th Annual 24-Hour Video Race produced by Video Association of Dallas and artistic director, Bart Weiss. Each team was challenged to incorporate the same theme, prop, location, line of dialogue and cinematic device presented to them at the start of the 24 hours. A selection of the winning films from each division will be featured.
